In the Staryi Merchyk village we visited the estate of the Shidlovsky family which was built in the XVIII century in classical style. The main house, outbuildings and a wine cellar remained, but everything is in disrepair. In Soviet times the building hosted a technical school.

Getting there: Turn to Staryi Merchyk from the Kyiv - Kharkiv road, or take a minibus from the Holodna Hora metro station in Kharkiv.
