Königssee lake is one of the most beautiful places in Germany. Despite the fact that it is located in the corner of the country, on the border with Austria, you should definitely go there. The lake is surrounded by mountains that are up to 2700 meters high. The most famous view of the lake opens from the Corner of Artists (Malerwinkel). Here you can walk along the shore from Schönau am Königssee.

schedule and prices . Only electromotive and rowing transport is allowed on Königssee, so the lake is considered to be the cleanest in Germany.In the middle of the lake, on the west bank near the water stands the St. Bartholomew's Church.

Use the bahn.de website. Bus #841 will take you from the train station to the lake, the stop is called Königssee Parkplatz, Schönau am Königssee (10 minutes).
