The Fenis Castle is located in northern Italy, in the mountainous region of Valle d'Aosta. It's a well-preserved example of medieval architecture. The first evidence of the strengthening on this site belongs to the XIII century, and in the XVI century the castle got its present form. Since then it hasn't participated in any battles and thus reached our days in such good condition. Inside the castle there's a small regional museum, which presents the life of several eras.
There were neither tourists nor tours in English during our visit. But the guard made a tour for us and told everything about the castle.
Despite the beauty and scenic location of the castle, it's quite difficult to take pictures.
