Berehove is one of the most distant cities from the center. Located on the border with Hungary and during history belonged to Romania, Czechoslovakia and Hungary. Since 1945 became part of Ukraine. The population consist of Ukrainians and Hungarians, so all the inscriptions are duplicated in Hungarian. Since 2012, the Hungarian is also an official language of the documents, along with Ukrainian.

City has classical old town which can be considered a "small Hungary". Almost all restaurants offer Hungarian cuisine.

The city is known in Ukraine as a thermal spa resort and wine center. We visited a Chizay shop. In addition to the wine here you can buy a very good grape juice. In March the city hosts a festival of wine.

The main interest for tourists are thermal pools. Recently the city had only one old pool which we visited in 2009. Now there's also new modern thermal center Zhayvoronok (skylark, http://zhayvoronok.net/).
