Mykulyntsi is a small town known for its beer.
The town itself is considered to be the oldest in the Ternopil region. We went there to see the castle ruins. The territory of the ruins is guarded by angry watchdogs, so you can see only the outside.
Current state of the castle is bad: only the walls are left. But right next to the castle there are at least three points of interest. It's possible to make a nice tourist complex here, but it's clear that there's no money.
The Trinity Church makes a much more positive impression than the castle. As for the town with a population of 4,000 inhabitants it looks great. This is not surprising, since it's considered to be one of the main landmarks of the Ternopil Region.
Nearby is an old Polish cemetery with tombs and sculptures. And just 200 meters away in a neglected park is the Potocki Palace, which now hosts a hospital.
Getting there: By minibus to Terebovlya from Ternopil (about 30-40 minutes).
