Pisac

Our rating: 7.40
2015-05-08
Pisac is an ancient Inca fortress, a little bit similar to Machu Picchu. We recommend this place because of the fantastic scenery, although the ruins are quite well preserved. Be sure to go to the temple of the sun, which overlooks the Urubamba valley. In the town of Pisac, which is located in the valley, there is a large local Sunday market and a small embankment of the Urubamba River.

Getting there: Regular buses from Av. Tullumayo 207 in Cuzco ($1) and minibuses from the Puputi street ($1.5). In the Pisac take a taxi to the ruins, which are located high on a hill.
