There are four bridges here and they are interesting because you can trace the development of the canal itself.
In the previous photo, the bridges pass over the river Leine. Originally there was only one, narrower, arm of the canal. This was the location of the very first bridge, built in 1917 (24 meters wide, 3 meters deep). With the development of shipping, the bridge became too small, and in the 1980s-1990s, in addition to the expansion of the canal itself, a new bridge (55 meters wide, 4 meters deep) was built next to the old one.
Nearby, closer to the parking lot, there are two more similar bridges, but there is no river under them and you can look from below.
Of interest here are marks about the floods of past years, as well as the construction of the bridge itself.
The bridges have interesting supports, this is done to avoid problems with the size of the metal structures during temperature changes.
