Was built in 1403 and belonged to the noble family of Reuss. The castle is located in a picturesque place, on the banks of the river Saale. Until 1697, it was used as a residence, and later, as a summer and hunting castle. In 1945, the castle was taken away from the Reuss and re-opened as a museum.
