In the village of Gubkiv on the high banks of the Sluch river stand the ruins of a castle built in the 15th century. Despite the fact that historians describe it as one of the most impregnable, almost all mentions of the castle refer to years when it was captured by someone. In 1504 it was captured by the Tatars, in 1596 - during the uprising of Nalyvaiko, in 1704 - by the army of Peter I, and finally, in 1708, it was destroyed by the Swedes.
The ruins themselves are not very interesting to mass tourist, but panoramas in this place are very scenic. And the hill belongs to the Nadsluchanskyi regional landscape park. You can come here on weekends to have a picnic and relax on the banks of the river. It is also possible to swim here.
Getting there: By bus from Rivne (the schedule is available only in Ukrainian).
