Findings of the XI-VII century BC and XI-XIII century, show that the stone was used as an idol and as a temple. Even now, on one side you can see the indentation for ceremonies and sacrifices.

Not far from the stone is another attraction, Monastery of the Holy Cross, an architectural monument of XVII-XVIII centuries. As it turned out, this is defense monastery, real fortress, with towers, walls and bastions.

Getting there: Pidkamin is on road Ternopil - Brody, so you can get there on any bus between the two cities (schedule from Ternopil). From the bus station it's better to go first to the monastery (20 minutes), and then descend to the stone.
