The longest water bridge in the world (as of 2019), 918 meters long. Such bridges appear because of the construction of water channels, which sometimes pass at a different height than the rivers. There are a lot of water channels in Germany, they facilitate the delivery of goods by barges. In this case, the channel passes over the river Elbe, the descent into which is carried out through the gateway.

bridge in Minden , the bridge in Magdeburg is relatively new, construction was completed in 2003 and cost €500 million. It was planned to be built in 1919, but at first there were world wars, and then the idea was postponed by the government of the GDR.
