After Budva, Bar appeared to be a pretty quiet resort. The town cannot become a large beach resort because of the sea port, so the government is actively developing shopping tourism now. We walked a little along the waterfront and went to the old town, which is located about 4 kilometers from the Bar downtown. In the morning we were there alone. The old town was heavily damaged by gunpowder explosion in 1878 and by earthquake in 1979.
Not far from the old town we saw an olive tree. It is more than 2,000 years old and is the oldest tree in Europe (location).
Getting there: Buses from Budva run from 7 am to 8 pm every 30 minutes.
