Ruka ski resort (summer)

Ruka is the most popular Finnish ski resort. Due to its location, the season here begins in October and lasts until May. We drove here for an overnight stay in the summer, while traveling in Finland. This place has a lot of hotels and developed infrastructure.


As in other places in Finland, we were looking for a separate house, chose Ylämaja - with a stunning view (booking.com), but there are dozens of houses nearby, you can choose any of them.


Found a cute rabbit near the door. We saw this bunny several times, probably he lives under the house.

In the middle of the complex there is a huge parking lot. In the summer it was empty and about 100 deer walked there.


Drove to the very top (N 66 09.571 E 29 09.330) and walked in the mountains. It is quite deserted in summer, with no people, though the views are beautiful.
