The Ruhrtal Bridge in Mülheim-Mintard is the longest steel-bridge in Germany and one of Europe’s biggest bridge construction projects after WWII. With a length of 1830 m it spans across the Ruhr Valley. Its construction dates back to 1962/1963 and sits on 18 pillars of ferroconcrete that range from 27 m to 60 m in height.
