Not far from Kyiv, along the Zhytomyr highway there are several interesting granite quarries. They are now abandoned, filled with water and turned into beautiful pieces of nature.
We visited the quarries in April and saw no other tourists. But there are many of them in summer.

In addition to the Vysokyш Kamin quarry we recommend visiting the Korostyshiv quarry nearby.
Getting there: By Zhytomyr highway go to the turn to Novogorodetske, then in direction of Gorodske and turn left. When you see the fence and technology buildings, the quarry will be in 200-300 meters on the left side of the road. It is not visible from the road, so be guided by other cars, or do like we did - get out of the car and look :)
