In the north of Chernihiv region, near the border with Belarus, there are several quarries with water, which are now turned into a great vacation spot. The bottom of the lakes is covered with deposits of quartz sand, so water has a bluish tint and quite transparent. Such water is even a little therapeutic and helps with diseases of the locomotor system.
Main lake has a depth of 18 meters and is quite large. There are three lakes in total, two of them equipped with recreation areas, pavilions, restrooms, water slides, various playgrounds. There are no restaurants, only drinks and snacks. By the way, be patient with the phone, because of the Belarusian roaming.
In a reviews of previous years, we read about the trash around the lakes. In June 2014 there is no trash there, shore and water are clean. The reason is simple, one of the businessmen took control of the lakes.
The main problem now, I am sure, will be the number of tourists, because the place is really very attractive. So if you want to relax without bathing, it is better to come out of the season.

Getting there: there is a good road directly to the lakes, so almost every visitor comes here by car. The distance from Kiev to the lakes is about 210 km, follow to the Oleshnya village.
