Villa among the volcanic fields (Casa Diama)

During our trip to Lanzarote, we decided to live half of the time in the north and another half in the south. Then, by chance, we found a rather unusual villa in the center of the island and decided to stay there instead of the south.

Casa Diama (booking.com) is unique in its own way because it is located in the middle of volcanic fields. Because of this location, there are some inconveniences, but the price is reasonable.

The nearest buildings are in 1 kilometer, and the road to the villa is unpaved, although you get used to it quickly. There are two restaurants near the exit to the main highway, where you can order takeaway food. WiFi did not reach the far bedroom, we used WiFi-Extender.

Though all the minor flaws are outweighed by the unique location, we recommend it.


As seen from above, the villa is surrounded by volcanic vineyards. A bottle of local wine was waiting for us on the table.






And, as always, an interesting fact for you. In the previous photo, a volcano is visible behind the villa. This is the same volcano featured in The Eternals (2021), the film's ending was partly filmed on Lanzarote.
