The mountain is completely bare in terms of trees, but there are many beautiful shrubs.
And there are lizards.
From the top you can see two beautiful volcanoes. The first is colorful Montaña Colorada, I have never seen anything like it.
And, of course, the volcano El Cuervo, which you can visit and even enter the crater.
If you've seen the movie Zorro (1975), you've already seen these landscapes. Alain Delon rode through them on a horse during the opening credits.
Right there, nearby, the ending of the movie The Eternals (2021) was filmed.
You can go down the usual way, but if you have good, mountain shoes, you can try a "professional" descent from the volcanoes. It took me literally 3 minutes.
There are two parking lots, one on the mountain side and one on the other side of the road. Choose the latter, as the parking on the side of the mountain is not equipped. I managed to drive into the sand and had to stop the local guy to help me.
Getting there: parking 28.996360, -13.684627.
