Sanctuary of El Far

The sanctuary of El Far is located on a cliff, at an altitude of 1123 meters above sea level. It was built in the 12th century. The place is very beautiful, we recommend it not only to history lovers.

El Far is translated as a lighthouse. This name was given to the monastery, since its light was visible by sailors (distance to the sea is 45 kilometers). Now there is a small church, a restaurant and a hotel. There is also a picnic area and a children's playground.
