Entallada Lighthouse (Faro de la Entallada) in Fuerteventura

Perhaps the most unusual lighthouse on the island of Fuerteventura. In addition to its interesting design, it is not located on the shore, but high on a cliff. Built in 1955, architect Carlos Alcon incorporated elements of Moorish architecture into the unique design. It is the closest point to Africa in the Canary Islands, which is less than 100 kilometres away.
