On the Internet, we came across similar image and decided that we were going there.
This view in Burgos opens from the viewpoint Mirador Del Castillo (N 42 20.495 W 3 42.401). It can be easily reached from the old town. And a little higher is a Burgos Castle.
The hotel where we spent the night is located near the viewpoint. The huge building of Abba Burgos Hotel (booking.com) in the Herrera style was built in 1961, as part of the famous pilgrimage route of El Camino de Santiago. Due to unprofitability, it was sold in 1999 and now the hotel is located in the east wing, the congress hall is in the center, and the west wing is empty.
The initial construction of the cathedral was completed in 1221-1260 by decree of Ferdinand III of Castile, though later it was still being completed until 1567.
In 1919, the national hero of Spain Sid Campeador and his wife Donja Jimena were buried in the cathedral.
