Despite the beauty of the rocks, the place is little known among tourists.
From a certain angle, the rocks look like huge fingers sticking out of the ground.
This place is similar to Meteora in Greece, even the Hotel Spa Aguas de los Mallos (booking.com) had the exact same view as our hotel in Meteora. Compare two hotels:
This hotel is ideal if you are traveling by car. If you are using public transport, then right under the rocks there is the village of Riglos, with few hotels and a railway station.
There are many hiking trails around the rocks, but this time we had a lazy and relaxing holiday and just rode around by car.
From the hotel we drove to the Loarre castle.
And to the Vulture viewpoint (Mirador de los Buitres, N 42 20.164 W 0 42.404). The road is really bad, but the view is gorgeous.
And, of course, there are vultures.
They live in this cliff.
On the way, you can also see the Marcuello castle (Castillo de Marcuello).
Getting there: Riglos train station is located directly under the cliffs (renfe.com).
