Quinta da Regaleira it is the only big attraction of Sintra, which is not included in the National Park of Sintra, although it is located on its territory. The place is very unusual and we recommended it.
Its present appearance manor received in 1892-1910 when it belonged to the Portuguese businessman Carvalho Monteiro. Later, palace several times changed owners until in 1996 was bought by the state and restored.

The most unusual and interesting object in the park is the Well of initiation. Nine spans represent the nine circles of Dante's hell.
