After the exhibition had finished, all of the objects have been redeveloped and the area turned into a Park of Nations. It is a modern residential and business district with excellent waterfront, many works of art and chic restaurants.
The most interesting building in the park is a Vasco da Gama tower. More recently, it looked like this. Unfortunately, the observation deck at the top is closed to visitors.
In 2012 was built five-star hotel MYRIAD by SANA Hotels. It is the only hotel on the waterfront and the best in Lisbon, so we spent here a few nights (booking.com).
The view from the windows of the hotel. Tides are clearly visible, we made a timelapse video.
Living here is very convenient as the Oriente station is a 15-minute walk away. And then city center or Sintra are easy reachable. In the morning we went jogging and met a sunrise.
In the evening promenade also looks fabulous
Few bridges were built to increase the length of the promenade.
It's length is 5 kilometers and it's impossible to visit all the district in one day, so you need two days or a bike.
Cableway along the coast.

For a lunch you can visit shopping center Vasco da Gama, near Oriente Station. There's a huge food court.
Getting there: on the subway or train to the Oriente Station.
