We saw on the Internet a picture of Pitigliano at night and decided to spend the night in this town. The old town met our expectations, a gorgeous place. We were there in the evening, but if you arrive during the day, then find a map below with the photo points. Pitigliano consists of the old and new parts, the tourists are interested in the old part. It is also called "Little Jerusalem" because of the Jewish community.
We stayed for the night in this guesthouse in the new town.
Getting there: The nearest railway station is Albinia. Then take a bus to Pitigliano (timetable). In addition to Albinia, buses run from Grosseto and Sorano. There's one bus per day from Siena. All schedules can be found here (you need a file "ORARIO GENERALE..."). A list of all buses in the region can also be found here, look for the word Pitigliano.
