Olbia

Our rating: 4.80

Olbia is the main city in the northeast of the island of Sardinia. It has a major ferry port, an international airport and a large supermarket (40.961774, 9.491677). However, in terms of tourism the city is not particularly attractive.

The city is old and in ancient times it was rich and important because of strategic location in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea. However, we only stopped by for a ride on the Ferris wheel at the port (40.923848, 9.506416).

Between these two buildings begins the only tourist street in the city; we walked along it too. The street is cozy, with many restaurants.

In general, there's not much to do here. There are much more interesting villages nearby, that's where you should stay.
