Besides the museum, there is a well-preserved old town, where we walked for several hours. Everything is close, so you don't need public transport. Official website offers a good map, use it.

The old town looks in general like this.
Two most beautiful locations are Piazza Roma (51) with the royal palace (54). Now it is a military academy.
And the central square Piazza Grande (1) with the Town Hall (49) and the cathedral Duomo (1).
Top of the tower can be visited, although only on foot. Photos there can be made with a phone or small camera due to a lattice on the windows.

Inside there are historic rooms, something like a small museum.
Next to the Ferrari museum there is a small and cozy park (31) with a beautiful orangery (47).

As throughout the region, there are many arches in the town.
Getting there: Modena is located in the center of Italy. Town has a railway and a bus stations. Main highway of the Italy A1 runs through the town. The nearest airport is in Bologna (40 km).
