Hall of Fame for prominent Germans, which is located in a picturesque place on a mountain near the Danube river. After Napoleon captured Germany and made political fragmentation, the public was looking for characters and events that could personalize the idea of national unity and greatness of the German nation. In the early 19th century monuments appeared in different locations in Germany. In 1842 was built a Greek-style temple near Regensburg. Inside were placed marble busts of famous people related to German culture. Busts are being added even now, the main condition is that a person must die more than twenty years ago.
