If you are traveling from Hamburg to Hannover or back, you will definetely visit Uelzen with its unusual train station. It was reconstructed before the world exhibition EXPO 2000 in Hannover. In 2009, the station received the title "The Best Station of Germany."

The design was made by a famous Austrian architect Friedensreich Hundertwasser, who designed several objects in Germany.

All projects of the architect show that mankind should live in harmony with nature. The roof of the station is a huge solar panel that produces 100 kilowatts of electricity
