Falkenstein Castle in the Harz mountains was built between 1120 and 1150 years. It did not take part in the battles and was used as a living house for local counts. At the moment it houses a small museum and is used as a venue for weddings and various events.

Getting there: Tourists can not reach the castle by car or public transport. You park your car on a large paid parking lot (
N 51 40.739 E 11 17.087) and then either walk 2 km in the woods or use a little tourist train for a small fee.
