Brandenburg castle ruins

Double castle on the hill in Thuringia. The towers that you see in the photo belong to different castles. This architecture is not accidental, a double castle has a much greater defensive potential. Nearby was a trade route and the rich residents of the castle were responsible for the protection of merchants. There is a small historical museum in the castle.
