Sometimes we visit places which are unknown to most tourists. National Park "Piryatinsky" is one of those places. It was founded in 2009 to study and preserve existing ecosystems of the Piryatin region in the valley of the Uday river.
The park has several parts, we visited the only one in the Keybalovka village. I should say that in Ukraine in the 2000s a lot of national parks were created. Unfortunately, state financing is enough only to pay small salaries to staff. Everything else is done on the enthusiasm.
The most beautiful in the park is the river Uday. This is one of the rivers which was almost not touched by the humans. We had the ride on the boat on the river, that was amaizing. Park is also a good place for birdwatching.
Park can be easily visited on the car from Kyiv. It is only 160 km away and located near the higway Kyiv - Kharkiv. Here are some beautiful places with the coordinates where you can have a picnic and watch the beautiful scenery. You can come with a fishing rod and go fishing during a picnic.
Recreation spot (N 50°20.134', E 032°29.707'). Here stands one of the information boards, which were sponsored by Canada.
The largest growing plant in the world is sequoia. And here we found the smallest plant - Wolffia. Look for the smallest green dots on the next picture.
In 1 km there is a place where you can swim (N 50°20.433', E 032°29.280').
Tryb island (N 50°18.238', E 032°30.652') is a very beautiful place. There is a small recreation area here with a place for picnic, toilet and even a volleyball playground. Unfortunately you cannot get here without a boat and I have no idea how a foreigner can find a boat here without russian or ukrainian language :) Our boat started from this location (N 50°18.369', E 032°30.076', see video below), but we talked before to the park staff and arrange a boat.
Some flowers that we met in the park
High Stinging nettle

A small video with beautiful landscapes of the park.
The main office of the park is located in Piryatin (N 50°14'26.14" E 32°30'33.47").
Getting there: The places we visited are located along the Uday river between the villages of Gurbintsy and Keybalivka, 9 kilometers from the highway Kyiv - Kharkiv.
