The castle of St. George was built on Kefalonia 800 years ago. For centuries it was the capital of the island and the home for nobility.

The nearest town is Peratata, it can be reached from Agrostoli by buses (schedule ) that go to Poros, Skala, Spartia. Then 1700 meters on foot from the bus stop to the castle.
