The town has preserved half-timbered houses of XVI-XVII centuries, the center looks like an open-air museum. Many of the houses have dates of construction written on them.
City Museum
On the hill stands Hornburg Castle (Burg Hornburg), built back in the 10th century, later destroyed and partially restored. The castle is private, so we didn't even look for a way to approach it.
Hornburg is the birthplace of Pope Clement II, one of the few German popes (in the 11th century), making it significant in church history.
