Surprisingly, this village, with one 500-meter street, is one of the most visited places in Germany. And all thanks to Neuschwanstein Castle.

Since we've been to the castle before, we decided to take a walk through the village, below it. Here you can find several interesting buildings.

On the mountain above the village can be seen the saddest castle in the world, Hohenschwangau, built by the Knights of Schwangau in the twelfth century. If it were situated anywhere else, it could be a leading attraction. But it is just a stone's throw away from the most visited castle in the world.

At sunset we also walked along Schwangauer Str. (47.568090, 10.737643). It goes in the middle of the fields and offers good views of Neuschwanstein.
