Bad Pyrmont is a resort with more than 500-year history. There are about 50 towns in Germany with the "Bad" prefix. In Bad Pyrmont you can find about 20 mineral springs, this is the best resort in Lower Saxony. During the last century a lot of famous people have been here: King of England George I, King of Prussia Frederick II, Queen Louise of Prussia, Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz, Benjamin Franklin. Hannover . The downtown has changed a lot. Among the projects is a Small Main Alley, an extension of the central historical walking street. At the end of the alley there's a tourist information office. Be sure to take a walk along the central alley. Near the fountain you can find a picture of this place as it was 100 years ago.
