Berdychiv is an ancient town in the Zhytomyr region where you can find dozens of architectural monuments. But we were interested in the castle, situated on the territory of the Bosykh Carmelitiv (Barefoot Carmelites) Monastery (1642). The castle itself is located in the town above the river.

Getting there: From Kyiv you can go by train or minibus from the central bus station. Or you can go first to Zhytomyr from the Zhytomyrska metro station by minibuses that leave every 15 minutes and then take a bus to Berdychiv. The distance from the bus station to the castle is about 4 km.
