Kusadasi is a resort on the Aegean coast. It is quite popular in Turkey, but is less known abroad than Kemer or Antalya. Town is cheaper and not as hot as the southerns resorts. Kusadasi can serve as a base for visiting Ephesus, Pergamum, Troy, Hierapolis and Pamukkale.

We stayed overnight on the waterfront, as you can see the beach in the center is quite small.

Getting there: The nearest airport is in Izmir. From the airport you first need to get to the bus station in Izmir by bus and there take a bus to Kusadasi. Direct bus from the airport of Bodrum runs 3 times a day (2.5 hours, $11).
