From the center you can go on foot or take the train to Uetliberg station, find the schedule here https://www.sbb.ch/en/home.html. You need a ticket for 4 zones, buy a daily ticket for 17.60 CHF (8.80 CHF for Half Fare Card).
We arrived by car and parked here N 47 22.190 E 8 27.995, the mountain is closed to cars. Parking is free, but you need to walk to the Uitikon Waldegg station and go few stations by train to Uetliberg. From the final station you also need to walk about 600 meters.
At the very top there is a hotel UTO KULM (booking.com), where we spent the night. It's price (less than 100 euros) is pretty good for Zurich. The first hotel, by the way, appeared on the mountain back in 1815.
Also there is such an unusual construction. It is both an antenna and an observation deck. You need a 2 CHF coin to open automatic door. If you spend the night in a hotel, then take free tokens at the reception.
In 1894 the first observation tower was built.
In 1984, it was recognized as a national treasure and afterwards demolished. In 1990, a new tower appeared with an observation platform at an altitude of 30 meters.
It offers the best views of Zurich and the Alps.
The TV-tower, 186 meters high, was also built in 1990.
