A distinctive feature of the peninsula is its great natural diversity.
There are also several beaches, one of which is called Bikini (Playa de los Bikinis). This name is not accidental; in the 1950s, foreign students in bikini swimsuits were first noticed here.
The most interesting object on the peninsula is the Royal Palace of La Magdalena. Built in 1909-1912, as the summer residence of King Alfonso XIII and his family.
Currently owned by one of the universities and is used for summer courses and various events.
On the promenade you can see several interesting ships. The most unusual of them is a wooden raft, on which a resident of the city of Alsar Vital set a world record in 1970, crossing the Pacific Ocean from Ecuador to Australia.
A little further there is the Marine Park (Parque Marino), where you can watch fur seals, sea lions and penguins.
Getting there: parking N 43 28.123 W 3 46.484. Buses N1 and N2 to the stop Santander La Magdalena.
