Port de Soller

Popular tourist resort in Majorca. First of all, because of the beautiful promenade and the ease of visiting. As it seen from the name, this is the coastal part of the city of Soller, although in reality it is a separate town. Previously, there was a large port, but now it is a resort with fishing vessels and yachts.


Since there was a port, there was also a railway, which connected the port with the capital of the island. Now it is a tourist railway. From Palma to the town of Soller you can get by the old train, then transfer to the old tram, which goes to the very center of Port de Soller.

Due to its location in the bay, there is a nice beach along the promenade. However, we would not have to swim here because of the large number of yachts. But the promenade is wonderful. Authorities spent on renovation several million euros and we recommend a walk here.






If you are travelling by car, then consider also visiting this place N 39 47.807 E 2 40.930. Parking near a lighthouse offers beautiful views of the bay.

Getting there: 35 kilometers from Palma. On the way there is the only paid place on the island, but out of season (November) we did not pay anything. Parking is here N 39 47.372 E 2 41.666. Or by bus 211 from Palma (schedule and map).
