Braga

Braga is medium-sized city, one hour awat from Porto. Together with Guimaraes it is a popular tourist weekend destination. Braga is more than 2,000 years old and is one of the oldest Christian cities in the world. The main attraction here is connected with religion, it's Bom Jesus do Monte, which is located outside the city, on the mountain. But in the city there is a small, beautiful old center.

The most beautiful place is the Republic Square.




Castle of Braga is located here, however, it was destroyed in 1906 and only the main tower (dungeon) left.


On the square we met another student ritual, which are very popular in Portugal.


Gardens of Santa Barbara, of course, have no relation to the United States, and named in honor of Saint Barbara, as well as the famous city.


Some places look as if you were in South America.
