Vlissingen is a small resort town in the very west of the Netherlands. The town originated in 620 as a fishing village and is still an important fishing port.

If you want to have a good time, come here on a warm sunny evening. There is an embankment with restaurants along the sea and there is a beautiful beach. It is a pleasure to meet here the sunset. The town left the most favorable impressions, despite the fact that there are no special attractions here.

A huge and nice beach with a lot of bathers during the summer months.

We did not walk around the town, the embankment was enough for us. Sunset we met around the picturesque tower. It houses a one-room hotel De Gevangentoren Suite (booking.com), although we learned about it later, otherwise we would stay for the night.

Getting there: Large parking lot N 51 26.763 E 3 33.950, we parked along the embankment. There is a railway station Vlissingen, only 7 minutes from Middelburg. If you rented a bicycle in Middelburg, then you can ride on it, the distance is short. Vlissingen station also have a bike rental.
