This is one of the most photographed places on the island and one of its symbols. Firstly there is the monastery, located in a rather unusual and picturesque place.
In the distance you can see the Mouse Island (Pontikonisi), which is actively advertised on the Internet and is reachable by boat. I didn't see any point in visiting it, unless you have a lot of free time.
Jean-Paul Belmondo in Corfu
James Bond in Corfu.
Secondly, there are several restaurants and good viewpoints.
And thirdly, Corfu Airport is located here. The planes land quite close to the spectators, so it's a great spot for spotting. You can watch the planes landing from both upstairs and downstairs. We initially arrived and parked near the water as it is more convenient. We walked to the monastery and watched the planes from the pier.
Afterwards, we went upstairs where we sat in the restaurant and watched the airplanes again.
Getting there: parking is available both downstairs 39.591250, 19.916750 and upstairs 39.591722, 19.917194. The 2A bus stops at the top, look for stop 201 here (https://astikoktelkerkyras.gr/en/itineraries/).
