The bridge connects the capital of the island of Argostoli and the village of Drapano. It was significantly damaged during the earthquakes of 1953 and 2014, but has now been restored.
The place is very unusual and even unique. The bridge is pedestrian, you can walk through the bay or use it for morning runs.
We arrived by car and parked near the village of Drapano, here N 38 10.700 E 20 29.830. Then went over the bridge to the capital, walked along the embankment and had a lunch in the fish restaurant Aristofanis, right next to the bridge.
Getting there: Argostoli has its own airport. There is also a direct bus Athens - Argostoli, which include ferry (schedule). You can also go by train to Patra, then by ferry to Sami and then by local bus to Argostoli.
