You walk through the door and find yourself in... a chinese garden, on the shore of a lake.
There are quite a few such gardens in Germany, but they are mostly located in big cities. The Weissensee, on the other hand, is a village.
The buildings of the Chinese garden are made of traditional handicraft materials, by skilled Chinese craftsmen. In addition to the tea pavilion, a wedding pavilion and a joy pavilion were created in the western and eastern parts of the garden. In the center of the garden is the Four Seasons Pond. A typical Chinise pedestrian bridge connects the tea pavilion and the wedding pavilion.
The materials for the paths and walls of all the structures were brought from China. The exception is the massive wooden staircase to the pond and the largest stones, which were taken from the local quarry.
Be careful, the place is small, and therefore can be crowded with people. Opening hours and ticket prices you can find here https://www.weissensee.de/kultur-tourismus/willkommen-in-weissensee/chinesischer-garten/oeffnungszeiten-und-preise/.
