Borjomi is a small town that is famous for its mineral water, the composition of which has not changed for nearly 200 years, and which is exported to over 30 countries. After a visit to Georgia, we started to buy this water regularly (here is the "deepest" website in the world about it).
The resort is located between the mountains, along the river, in a very picturesque place.
The town has a very interesting and unusual architecture. There are many beautiful mansions.
Most of the tourist infrastructure is concentrated on the Kostova Street, which is located between the river and a park with mineral water. Here everywhere you can see people selling jam from cones. It's pretty tasty. The park has a small entrance fee. Immediately after the entrance there is an interesting sign - in 2005 the park was opened by the Georgian and Ukrainian Presidents, Mikhail Saakashvili and Viktor Yushchenko.
The source with mineral water is not large. After visit to Truskavets in Ukraine we expected to see a huge building and crowds of people. But it is a very quiet place and we didn't see other tourists near the source.
Near the entrance to the park is the lower station of the cableway. Be sure to go up and look at Borjomi from the height. On top there is a Ferris wheel and a waterfall, but you can approach the waterfall only from the top and that's not safe.
There is also the administration office of the Borjomi National Park here (location), from which starts one of the ecotrails. If you like hiking, then this park is for you, there are several hiking trails, both for brief walks and hiking for a few days. In the office, you can take maps, rent the necessary things and agree accommodation in the mountains.

Getting to Borjomi: There are two railway stations in Borjomi. The main one is located near the downtown. Two times a day (at 7 am and 4:40 pm) local trains go to Tbilisi (4 hours to go). From the small station, which is located downstream, you can get on a narrow-gauge train to the Bakuriani resort (at 7:15 am and 10:55 am, return at 10 am and 2:15 pm). Buses go from almost all major cities several times a day, and from Tbilisi every hour from 7 am to 6 pm (2 hours to go). The bus station is here.
