Sunny Trail is a 7 km long pedestrian path between Livadia ans Gaspra. The trail from Livadia to Oreanda was built in 1861. And the full trail was built in 1901 by the order of Nikolay II. At that time it had names "horizontal" and "royal". Despite the today's name, it is located almost in the forest and is perfect for walking when it's hot. Vertical drop is minimum, so the trail is suitable for everyone. There are pointers with distances to the target every 100-200 meters. Also there are lots of benches, interesting plants and viewing platforms.
It's better to start from the Rosa Luxemburg resort. In this case, you will find an interesting object in the end, Livadia Palace. If you go in the opposite direction, the end will be near the road. There are no shops on the trail, so take water with you.

Getting there: The trail starts from the park behind the Livadia Palace. Go there by minibus #32 or #47 from the clothing market in the center of Yalta. Ask to stop near the Livadia Palace. The end of the trail is near the Rosa Luxemburg resort on the side of Yalta. Go there by minibus #26 from the clothing market in Yalta and ask to stop near the beginning of the Sunny Trail (Solnechnaya Tropa). It starts right next to the road. Or stop near the resort and find the trail.
