Sakura Island Park

We liked the Sakura Island park even before we got there. The reason are the signs to the parking lot and the parking itself, which is not common for Ukraine.

The park was created by the scandalous landowner Mykola Kaplun, who lives right there. If you're wondering who it is, then google it. Here we are only talking about the park, which, surprisingly, was made with love.

The owner personally created many elements of the park, and most designs were created by local forces.


Despite the name, the park does not have one theme. Here you can find a variety of motives, such as Japanese

There is even a small zoo

And around the parking lot are deer, llamas and goats.

Since we were in May, we didn't see the sakura blossoms, but we saw a yellow magnolia for the first time.


The area is very well appointed, but small. Therefore, the impressions of the park will greatly depend on the number of tourists. We were almost alone, so our impressions are the best.




















Getting there: the park is located in the village of Volodarka, near Bila Tserkva. Travel time by car from Kyiv is about 2 hours, parking 49.535141, 29.921881.
