Ballooning near Kyiv

Many companies in Ukraine offer balloon flights. This pleasure is pretty expensive, at least $150 per hour per person.

The flights are only held when the weather is good, either in the morning or in the evening. Unlike an airplane or a helicopter, a balloon is very comfortable to shoot photos or videos from. There are no bumps, no windows, just you and the horizon.

It was four of us in the basket, including the captain. Some flights have 5-6 people, but as for me, it's too much, and it's difficult to land. The final stage of the flight is worth mentioning separately. Takeoff and the flight itself are pretty easy, the most interesting thing is landing. It's a rather complicated procedure, especially in the presence of wind. I won't be surprised if some people fall out of the baskets. For guys it's even interesting, but for girls it's pretty difficult.

After landing we had a symbolic "initiation ritual" :)

 

A couple of weeks later we saw pictures of the balloons on which we flew in the English-speaking magazine "What's On".

Getting there: You'll be taken there by the organizers' car. There is no sence to go by your own car as you'll land many kilometers away from the starting point.
